A WORLD CLASS TRAINING FACILITY IN STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT

TRAINING AT ALL LEVELS

How it works

Programs are supported by technology and data tools used at the professional level — including force plate testing, velocity-based training, and performance monitoring systems. Every decision is informed by what the numbers show and what the coach sees. Both matter.

  • Young athletes begin training here when they're ready for structured work. The focus is on learning to train correctly, building coordination, and developing consistency that will support everything that comes next.

  • Competitive athletes training for higher levels of sport while managing the demands of practice, games, and travel. Programs are adjusted throughout the year to support performance, recovery, and long-term progress — with attention to strength, conditioning, and nutrition habits.

  • Professional and Olympic-level athletes train here for off-season preparation, return to performance after injury, and long-term career development. Programs are built around the demands of the sport, the competition calendar, and the athlete's full history — including combine preparation, return-to-play progression, and in-season support.

Trusted by agents, general managers, and coaching staffs who want to know their athletes are in the right place.

  • Adults who want structured, progressive training in a serious coaching environment. The same standards applied to competitive athletes apply here.

RETURN TO PLAY

Rehab & performance

The gap between cleared by PT and ready to compete is where most setbacks happen. Ben has spent decades working in that gap — coordinating with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and athletic trainers to bring athletes back from serious injury the right way.

His experience includes return-to-play work following hip arthroscopy and resurfacing, ACL reconstruction, achilles repair, shoulder surgery, spine and core injuries, and chronic overuse conditions — across professional, Olympic, and developmental athletes in multiple sports.

Prentiss has a physical therapist based within the facility and ongoing relationships with some of the region's top orthopedic surgeons. The medical and coaching sides of recovery don't operate in silos here — they work together, in the same building, toward the same outcome.

Getting back fast is not the goal. Getting back right is.

Every athlete who trains at Prentiss starts with a conversation — so we understand where you are, what you need, and how we can actually help.
